The Night to Remember

it was raining outside when i went back from my lunch to the office. The rain poured heavily and i could heard thunders’ sound in the office. Dear God, i hope this evening the rain already stopped,please-it was my prayer.

4pm o’clock the rain had not stop yet. I started to worry. I must go at 5.30pm to a place where my favourite would held a concert-his first concert in Jakarta. I’m so excited to attend the concert after 3 months i waited for it.  I pray with all my heart, that at 5.30pm please God, stop the rain. I have to go by Ojek. Ojek? it’s like a rental motorcycle. I chosed to go by Ojek to avoid the traffic jam. If i went by car or cab, i would be stuck in a jam. Traffic jam that day was horrible. Beside there was a demonstration, and it was raining. Jakarta after rain, you could able to park your car on the street free.

Thanks God, the rain already stopped at 5.30pm so then i went out of the office then went to Tennis Indoor Senayan. My instinct to took Ojek is very exact, the traffic was so horrible, my friend got stuck on traffic and she just arrived at Tennis Indoor at 8pm while she moved from her office at 5.40pm. See? How lucky i was. J

I arrived at Tennis Indoor Senayan at 6pm and called my friends (wika and Angger) to asked where they were. Oh, actually they waited me at Nasi Goreng Food Stall in front of the venue, so i walked to that place and met with them. Before the concert we ate first, and Nasi Goreng was our choice.:))

The Night to Remember

My friends and i entered the venue about 7.15 and it was raining. Thanks God, one of my friend brought an umbrella, so we could still a bit dry ;p. We walked and sometimes we ran. It was like we had to “fight” the rain to see Adam Young. Hahaha but that’s okay since he is my favourite! HAHA.

i was in the venue, in front of the stage with other fans of Owl City waiting Adam to come out at 8pm. I can’t wait to see him. At 8.15pm Breanne Durren came out as an opening act and sang some of her songs with her keyboard. Well, she’s cool, sweet and funny. :D Breanne sang some songs about 30 minutes. And we had to wait 15 minutes more to see Adam on the stage.

Finally, he came out!!! I was so excited! HAHA. Ooh i like the way he laughs. :D , i just couldn’t believe it, i saw him!. It was just like a dream came true. it is like i only know him from Twitter and replied his tweet even he never has tweeted me yet L and then October 28th, 2011 i saw him directly. He was in front of me, even wasn’t near, and i'm not sure that he saw me -__-“.

By the way, about owlcity’s concert here, my views are he’s awesome, lovely, and his voice is good. I sang almost all songs that he played, but sometimes i just speechless and only smile. I don’t know why, but i feel the concert is special.  I danced with him and other 4500 people in there. I danced, jumped, screamed and sang, especially when Adam played Umbrella Beach, the bird and the worm, Yacht Club, Angels, Galaxies, Fireflies, Dreams Don’t Turn to Dust, Deer in The Highlights. HAHA. Seeing him as a person on stage, made mei feel like wanna hug him and take him home with me. HAHA

But actually, i don’t know, since i arrived at Tennis Indoor, i was happy but my feeling was a bit not good. I was happy – i repeated it- but at the same time, i feel a bit not good, not sad but just like there’s something wrong with him (something bad happened to him), but i don’t know what it is.

After the concert, on the next day, i just know that Adam has headache and Kidney Stone. When i knew that news,i shocked. It’s like “what?!” then a bit sad. Remember him on stage last night, full of smile, danced, talked and now he’s sick. So sad to hear that. T.T .. He’s awesome and professional. I am more love him.

That night, October 28th, 2011 would be a great story that i wouid tell to my future son or daughter. I think they have to know who’s their mom’s fav,  right? :D

Halo semuanya, selamat pagi, siang, sore dan malam .. :D

Setelah hampir 2 minggu saya tidak mengupdate blog, sekaranglah saatnya. Hari ini, jiwa untuk membaca buku saya sedang keluar, jadilah saya mengobrak-abrik lemari buku, mencari buku lama yang telah saya beli namun belum sempat saya baca, ternyata ada banyak ya!. :o

Pilihan saya jatuh pada buku karangan Dr. 'Aidh al-Qarni yang berjudul La Tahzan = Jangan Bersedih!. Buku setebal 567 halaman ini, berhasil membuat pikiran saya lebih terbuka dan menenangkan hati saya. Terus terang, saya belum membaca tuntas seluruh isi buku, saya baru membaca beberapa sub judul yang saya anggap paling menarik untuk saya baca.

Inti dari buku ini sebenarnya hanyalah satu, yaitu Jangan Bersedih karena Tuhan bersama kita. "La tahzan,  Inallaha ma'ana".  Tapi, disini diterangkan alasan-alasannya. Ada beberapa hal yang bisa dirangkum yaitu :

• keimanan menghapuskan keresahan, dan melenyapkan kegundahan. Keimanan adalah kesenangan yang diburu oleh orang -orang yang bertauhid dan hiburan bagi orang yang ahli ibadah.
• Biarkan masa depan datang dengan sendirinya, dan jangan terlalu berkepentingan dengan hari esok. Segala sesuatunya ada waktunya, kalo kecepatan bisa ga baik dan kalau terlambat juga tidak baik. Yakinlah, semua indah pada waktunya dan fokuslah pada saat ini. manusia boleh berencana untuk masa depannya, tapi tetap Tuhan yang menentukan. Berusahalah, lalu serahkan kepadaNya.
• Maafkanlah orang yang pernah melakukan kezaliman kepada anda. Sambunglah tali silaturahmi orang yang memutuskan tali silaturahmi dengan anda. Berilah orang yang tidak pernah memberi anda. Bersabarlah terhadap orang yang berbuat jahat kepada anda. Tuhan bersama orang-orang yang sabar dan berbuat baik.
• Makanan adalah kebahagian untuk sehari, perjalanan adalah kebahagian untuk seminggu, pernikahan adalah kebahagian untuk sebulan, harta adalah kebahagian untuk setahun, keimanan adalah kebahagian untuk seumur hidup.

Beberapa hal diatas tentunya baru sedikit hal dari banyak hal yang diterangkan dalam buku ini. Seperti yang saya katakan, saya belum selesai membacanya sampai habis :P . tapi buku ini recommended untuk dibaca kok. Sekian dan terimakasih.

    

Buka Puasa Bersama Broadcast'05

August 14, 2011. it was a great reunion with my college friends. We gathered at Urban Kitchen Pacific Place,Jakarta and had break-fasting together.

Meet up with friends is always a bliss!. :)

TransJakarta, Hell or Heaven? you name it!

Living in a big city like Jakarta is like live in heaven and hell at the same time. The heaven when you can find something you need easily, you can find everything here in Jakarta. The hell is the traffic jam,criminals, etc.

Me, is a kind of person who doesn't really know well the streets in Jakarta. I mean, i know the area if it's familiar. It is not because i never get out of home, but it's because i always have my dad, sister or sometimes driver to take me to one place. But now, i'm already old. So, since 3 years ago, i have been started to go by myself. I said to my dad, i'll go alone and i want it, i am not his little girl anymore. hehehhe. So, he allowed me to go by myself. well actually, until today my mom always asks me to having a drive-course so that i can drive and use the car but i always say, i can drive if the road is empty or at least people drive well. Seriously.

To go by public tranportations in jakarta is not a good advice because those public transportations are not in a good condition. So, 3,5 years ago, when i was in a cab, i saw some (new)buses on the road and i remember i've ever seen those buses on the news. So, i was interested to know about that buses. They look so much better than the others. Then i saw the name of the bus, it named Transjakarta, the new public transportation in Jakarta. I curious about their routes. So when i got back home, i search it on internet. I got some informations about Transjakarta. oh yes!.

So, the first time i went by Transjakarta, my destination was Kota Tua (old town). I asked the the girl who sold the tickets about how i can get to Kota Tua by Transjakarta. then she told me which Transjakarta that i should take and where i should transit. Now, anywhere i go, i only use two public tranportations which are Transjakarta and Cab. Beside those, i'd rather to walk. oh maybe Ojek for some reasons. Ojek is like a cab, but cab is a car and Ojek is a motorcycle. that's all.

Since i've been worked, mostly i use Transjakarta to avoid a madly traffic jam in the morning, oh yes, it's Jakarta, you know!. Madly because in a normal situation, i mean no traffic jam, it can takes only 20-30 minutes, but with the traffic jam it takes 1 hour 30 minutes!. I don't know what it's caused by. Sometimes, the traffic jam in jakarta caused by NOTHING!. There's nothing happen but there's still a jam. So i think, the major cause is the total number of vehicles increased every year or maybe every 3 months but not supported by the road's condition. so, it's just like (almost) over loaded.

Using Transjakarta is not like a heaven. yes, we will not get traffic jam, but inside Transjakarta? hahahaha it's like a hell! if the road is over loaded with the vehicles, so Transjakarta is over loaded with the passengers. Full of people who are gonna work (in the morning) and gonna back home (in the evening). Beside that, The Transjakarta's arrival is so long. we have to waiting for so long. Well, if you're in hurry, better to not use TransJakarta, better to use Ojek :)). Seems like there's no the right public transportation in Jakarta, yes?!. believe me, Transjakarta is the rightest public transportation than the others (kopaja, metromini, bus (non-patas), mmhhh Angkot is still okay) for this time.

2 days ago, there was something happen on the bus way which made Transjakarta cannot moves and it was already 5.58PM which means time to break-fast. Yup, it's Ramadhan, the month when all muslim from all over the world must fasting from the morning till evening. At that time, the passengers started to grumbled. i stood in the middle of people who were a bit grumbling then suddenly the driver and co-driver gave some mineral water and dates so then i am smiling. I was smiling not because i got the water or dates, but because i stared to the people in there. For me, they were funny and unique. Funny or unique, because they are different. there were people who grumbled,yelled, stayed cool, slept, and day dreamed. Me, i'm one of the stayed cool people :p. Because i think what for you yelled or grumbled? those things will not solve the problem. Beside that, at that time, i thought about when will we (the passengers and me,driver and co-driver) have the moment like this, if not now? break-fasting together on the bus which the bus got stuck for about 10 minutes?. Looked at the co-driver gave the water and the Dates to all passengers by hand-in-hand. Could you see the nice moment in there instead of yelling or grumbling? :) or am i really sensitive? Hahahhaha (lol).

After all, to use TransJakarta is not so that bad, sometimes it's nice. but i'm still hoping for the better public transportation. :) When you use public transportation, you would see another 'life'. The life that you'll not see when you use your own car.

Random Thought

Heyho!, i try to write in english again this time.

I hung out with my friends. Girls day out, we just sat, ate, and talked from one restaurant to another, a cozy restaurant yes, not a crowded one. Wait, what? from one restaurant to another restaurant?!. HAHA yes! well, my friends and i like to eat a lot. From pizza, burger, sushi, dimsum, noodles, pancake, waffle, steak, doughnut, rice, seafood to ice cream, frozen yoghurt, what else? ice/hot mocha, ice/hot chocolate, ice/hot tea, lemon tea, juice anything as long as the taste is good and eatable :D. Fyi, i don't like in a crowded place. i mean, too crowded, and i don't drink and even smoke. For me, it's really hard to breath when you breath near a person who is smoking, i can't stand with the smell of the smoke.

Oh yes, my friends and i talked about anything and one of the things is about love thing. My friends said, most of them are trying to forget their ex. well, that's not a bad thing, and maybe it's a good thing. But the problem is it's hard to forget their ex. Well, yeah it's hard. But if you ask me, that have i forgotten my ex yet? i'll answer NO! and i won't  forget, even if he ever did bad things to me. I loved him, so why should i forget him? and i'll not suggest you to forget. Well, i'll give you my explanation.

okay, in my humble opinion, we don't need to try to forget any people in our life,either they are good or bad to us. Because, it is them who made us like today. at least, they took part to shape us like we are today, yes even only a small part. For the ex, you know it's hard to forget someone that you love,it's just like to remember someone that you never knew ;). tha's why i suggest to not forget your ex or your crush who ever broke your heart because it's hard... the harder you try to forget the hardest for you to forget because you will be more think of them, think like "i have to forget him/her", "i have to forget him/her", "i have to forget him/her",etc.

So, my suggestions are  let your life flows, let him/her go, and accept all you got, time will heals. Believe that. i know it's not easy. i ever felt it too and until now, i still ever think of my ex but not so often anymore. If he is happy now, so why should i make him unhappy by disturb him again? Let him go is the better way to see him happy with his new girl. Hurts? OF COURSE! at first, so hurts, so hard to breath, cannot sleep, when i woke up i felt pain inside my chest, hurts so deep inside, like you got cut by knife. i was need a lot of time to heal myself by do more prayer, get myself closer to God, pray for him and me. is he in my pray? yes!. :) Now, i can accept all what he has done to me. I believe i'm irreplaceable, whoever enters his life, no one can love him as good as i did.

Wait, you know what? Since that time, i could know who really my friends are and who are not. Simply, for me a good friends will not ask you anything include ask you to forget him/her when you got hurt, but they'll understand you, either why you like to have random feeling or when you write something about your feeling. 

So, guys, that's my suggestion to you. Don't try so hard to forget someone. Thanking God is better because you already ever met someone you loved and spent time with him/her. Just enjoy your time, let your life flows, let him/her go, accept all what have happened, and the important thing is do prayer, make yourself closer to God, and don't worry about the time, cause all the things have its time. and the last thing that you have to remember is In the End, it would be fair because God is justice. what you have done to other people, that's what you will get later. :) Well, it's just my view/opinion guys, after all, it's all up to you. you decide. :) So, Here we are!. People who ever got hurts and happiness, people who are having minuses and pluses. All of those things just made us almost perfect! Almost perfect? yes, because only God who is perfect. :)

Hari ini, saya membuat skck untuk keperluan melamar cpns. sebenarnya, saya hanya mengincar departemen luar negeri, tetapi belum tentu juga saya apply tahun ini (karena bisa saja tahun depan), hanya siap-siap. Untuk apply di deplu, sebenarnya saya tidak terlalu berharap, hanya mengetes potensi dan keberuntungan saya saja, kalau diterima itu saya anggap bonus!.

Berbicara tentang keberuntungan, bagaimanapun, dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan atau hampir dalam segala hal, faktor keberuntungan selalu ikut berperan, yah walaupun sedikit. Saya selalu menyebut diri saya adalah orang yang beruntung dan saya bersyukur atas segala yang telah diberikan kepada saya.

Filosofi saya, untuk selalu mengatakan untung saya bla bla bla, adalah karena saya pernah mendengar seorang terkenal mengatakan, "orang yang beruntung adalah orang yang selalu mengatakan dirinya beruntung". Lalu ketika itu pula - saat saya masih smp mau ke sma- berpikir, hhmm iya juga, di dalam komik pun, yaitu donald bebek, ada tokoh yang namanya Untung Angsa yang pada akhirnya selalu beruntung. Disinilah, saya berpikir bahwa, orang yang dikatakan untung dan menganggap dirinya beruntung, tentu akan beruntung dan tentunya itu semua karena Tuhan, untung karena diselamatkan oleh Tuhan, untung karena diberkahi oleh Tuhan, untung karena dikasihani oleh Tuhan.

Intinya, bersyukur atas kebaikan Tuhan kepada kita. Dulu, saya tersentak oleh ucapan guru agama saya tentang bersyukur dan saya ingat hingga sekarang, guru agama saya bilang,"Kalian itu harus bersyukur, termasuk kalau nilai ulangan kalian jelek. Misalnya, nilai ulangan kalian dapat nilai 5 dari nilai 10, kalian harus tetap bersyukur, karena masih dikasih nilai segitu sama Tuhan dan terus berusahalah untuk mendapat nilai yang lebih baik lagi dengan belajar lebih keras lagi. Kalau kita bersyukur, pasti akan ditambah nikmat yang diberikan oleh Tuhan." yaa, itulah kalimat yang selalu saya ingat, sehingga saya selalu mengatakan untung dan berterimakasih kepada Tuhan.

Jadi, cobalah untuk mengatakan untung saya bla bla bla ... dan mensyukuri apa yang terjadi. and you're gonna be the lucky one. intinya sih, tetap cari sisi baiknya dan positive thinking! Jangan dikira gampang, tapi cobalah! :))

oke, kembali ke pembuatan skck. Terus terang, ini adalah pertama kalinya saya pergi dan masuk ke Polres. Berbekal membawa berkas-berkas seperti ; surat pengantar dari lurah yang disahkan oleh camat, fotokopi Kartu Keluarga, fotokopi kartu tanda penduduk, dan foto berukuran 4x6 sebanyak 5 lembar. Lalu berikan ke loket. Proses pembuatannya tidak terlalu lama, kalau tidak mengantri dan untungnya tadi ketika saya datang tidak banyak orang yang membuat skck. hhmm, mungkin agak lamanya adalah waktu mengisi formulir dan cap sidik jari saja. Saya baru tahu, kalau ternyata polisi yang bertugas memberikan pelayanan, tidak istirahat. Jadi, walaupun anda datang jam 12 siang (seperti tadi saya), tetap akan dilayani. Pelayanan yang ramah membuat saya jadi lebih santai, oh yes, saya didoakan gampang dapat jodoh dan rejeki dari Pak Polisi, saya bilang, amen. terimakasih lho Pak! :))

My Favourite Moment

Hello guys, this time, i wanna tell you about my favourite moment when i was in Junior High School.

Today, i read news about Indonesian Festival at the National Mall in Washington DC and it reminds me that i ever played Angklung when i was in Junior High School.

i forget that i was in 2nd grade or 3rd grade. i just remember that i ever played it. i played it with my classmates. All started from this, one day, there were a free time, because the teacher couldn't attend the class, so my Art Teacher came to the class and he asked the students that we want to play Angklung or not?, and we said yes, we want!. So, we went down stairs and came into the room where there were sets of Angklungs.

Angklung is the traditional music instrument from West Java, Indonesia, made from Bamboo.The unique part of angklung is that each instrument has the sound of only one specific note. The note can be produced by simply shaking the angklung. In my humble opinion (at least for me), Angklung better played by much people (group of people), because the sounds will be heard greater. Actually, 1 person can handle until three Angklungs (if she/he already can play and handle it well ). Total students in my class was 38 people, we have so many people here so then we handle one Angklung for one person.

The first song that we learn was Sway. it was famous at that time. We learn it happily, because there's no book that we have to read :P. we all only listened our teacher talking about how to play it. if we did wrong, the teacher didn't angry and we all laughed. that's it. All happened just Learn, Play and Laugh!. We played for 2 hours every we have a free time. Really, it was fun, really fun!. What i remember is when we played Angklung, we have to work together and believe each other that we will play our job well. So that, we can play a music harmoniously and heard greatly.

Adam's Birthday

today, July 5th 2011, is Adam's Birthday. Even it's already July 6th in Indonesia, but i know it's still July 5th in the US. So, actually, i wanted to be the last person who say Happy Birthday to him! :p. But, i can't wait any longer to say it. So, here it is...

My Favourite today and tomorrow

Hello there!,

Actually, i just wanna write about my favourite singer (band) today. I don't know either you already knew Owl City or not. But that's the band that i like the most. The first time i knew Owl City from my friend. it was 1.5 years ago. 

My friend said "Star, do you know fireflies?" 

Me: "noo.. what is it?" then my friend asked me to search it on Youtube. 

So, on the next day, i used my laptop then connect it to the Internet, then went to Youtube website, typed "Fireflies" and taarraaa .. there's Fireflies-Owlcity. I listened to this song, and i muttered "what kind of the song is this?, it's weird!". After that, i posted it on my facebook page and tagged my friend there. I said to her " is this the song that you meant? it's weiiirrrd huh!." My friend answered " what, weird?? it's cool you know!. You have to listen it again." but i still said to her " i heard it twice and it's enough. it's still weird!." then i turned my laptop off and went to sleep.

In the morning i woke up and got ready to go to school,then guess what?!. when i was on my way to school, nothing was in my mind. But suddenly, my heart and my mind sang the chorus of Firelfies!!!. then it stuck in my mind... oh well...

after i got back home, i listen to that song again and search for the other owl city's songs. And yeah, i hate to say that i finally addicted to Owl City's songs. why do i like it so much now? firstly, i feel like what he wrote on his songs is so me. i mean, it's all like what i felt at that time and it can made me feel more relax and stronger. what i thought was oh God, even Adam Young ever felt like i feel now. and Secondly, Owlcity's songs are "colourful" and imaginative. It can creates a theatre of mind, can makes you smile, and can makes you wanna dance and jump!. when you listen to owlcity's music, it's just like the music give a command to your brain to imagine about a beautiful place where you are happy and laugh and shout, a place where you can feel relax, no worries, no burden. Just like live the life happily. Well, all of that are my humble opinion about owlcity.

Above are the reasons why i like Owlcity's songs. and this is the reason why i like Adam Young. The first time i fell in 'love' with adam young, because i read his blog (owlcity's blog). what i read on his blog, represents that he is a religious guy. i like it. well, he is really religious, that's why i like him, as a person (not as a musician or owlcity). that's my first impression about Adam and i'm impressed. i think, not so many artists who are still care about their believe. But this Adam Young is different. He still cares with his believe. and the other point come after that.

I googled about adam young, include about does he smoke? and i found the answer that he doesn't smoke! wow, that makes me more like him. religious and doesn't smoke. Seems like he is a good guy, isn't he? :p well, my friends think that i'm hoping to be his gf, but actually, i never hope to be his girlfriend. Nope, i don't hope that, only friend. For me, what i feel about Adam Young is only between fans and an idol, oh yeah, more than that, i consider him as my friend (giggled). I know, sometimes i care with him and give my attention to him. by what? by replying all his tweets! LOL. i dont know, my friends said that i always reply his tweets and i am soooooo care with him!. hahahha.. for me, it's.. i don't know, i like to pay attention to my friends, i care with them.

hhmmm.. what else?.. haamm heemm huuummm .... ooh, Owlcity just released his new album named All the Things Bright and Beautiful. Already available everywhere. You can buy it online or at the music stores. I suggest you to buy this album, and you will not regret it. :)

btw, i listened some of the songs in this album. I like Alligator Sky, Galaxies, Deer in The Headlights, Angels, now i'm officially like Dreams Dont turn to Dust.

After all, i like almost all of owlcity's songs. You know, Adam didn't only write about love songs, but also about life and human relationship with God. i told ya he's religious :p and all his songs have a message and it's like a mood-booster for me. Now, i can't wait to meet him on October 28th, 2011, here in Indonesia! :D

Have a Nice Tour!

Tonight, i just got home from saturday-night meeting, but i haven't feel sleepy yet. So, suddenly i remember my final exam when i was in Broadcasting for Diploma degree. I must making a video with the duration about 10-17 minutes. It could be about any thing.

we, the students, prepared about it, from the team, ideas, gathering the information that we had, survey the place, etc. Thanks God, i have my team, they are my close friends. 5 persons each team, 1 person for 1 job desc. My friends are Indah, Tyas, Affan and Adjie. I pointed to be the director, Indah as Producer, Tyas as Editor, Affan as Camera Person, and Adjie as Scriptwriter.

We did all the things happily, oh yes, even sometimes we have a bad mood and different opinion. Well, different opinion is normal and it's good as long as it can make the concept,plots, and designs better. We appreciate all the views that given by lecturer and the other teams.

You know what? when my team (we named it "Crackers") made this video, we did more fun than serious. When break shooting we went to Mangga Dua for shopping, when break after editing ( and it wasn't finish yet) we went to Grand Indonesia and watched movie at Blitz!, or when we were hungry we went to Kemang for eating even it was already 1am. All we did it with fun!. We help each other BUT we still did our job desc. Well, i think that's the key for team work!. You do your job, but always kindly to give the other people in your team, your help!. A team,have one goal, one mission, one vision,so we work together to reach the goal. You have a responsible with your own job desc, but you have a responsible to help the other people in your team if they have difficulties. That's what i learnt from My Diploma, Broadcast.

Oh ya, we have some problems too when we made this video. but with God's help and our efforts, Thanks God we can handle it well. oh ya, in a team, we need a solid team. seriously. Solid and open are everything. Without solidity and openness in a team, never hope that you gonna reach your goal well, there's must be something bad happen. Be a kind person, wash your heart, stay positive and keep your mind away from your own victory, remember you work in a team. Bad or good is because of you in it. you can't say, it's his fault, or her fault and done!. No, it better to be like, okay, there's something wrong because of this, this, and that, so what should WE do? Believe me, it would be much easier to solve the problems.

huuuff, okay back to my video, shorty, The video had examined by lecturers and we got an A mark for this video. We felt happy!. And of course, it wouldn't happened if there were no help, critics, and supports from other people and our friends. The Video's title is Have a Nice Tour! .

Vacation 3 (last) : Tawangmangu

June 3th, 2011. 5.30. was hardly to open my eyes cause still sleepy.But, i realised that i'm on Vacation and today will go to Tawangmangu, so hhmm i must wake up.

at 8am, i had my breakfast. It was a great breakfast. so many foods there, such as fried rice, Gudeg, porridge, Soto, some bread, Tempe Mendoan and Tape Goreng, Watermelon Juice, and also Fruits. So, i had Porridge and Gudeg for a main course and some fruits for dessert. lol. i know i ate too much, but believe me, i just ate it in a small portion. After had breakfast, i went back to the room and ready for check-out. it was about 9.15am. i started our trip that day. the destination were Kota Gede and Tawangmangu.

But, before i went to Kota Gede, we bought some Bakpia. I like Bakpia cheese flavoured, anyway. Actually, i went to Kota Gede because i wanna go to Tom's Silver. My sister's said she bought a bracelet here, maybe 10 years ago, and it's still look good until now. So, yes my sister, my aunt, and i went to Tom's Silver and we bought some jewelries. The Price of jewelry at Tom's Silver is about IDR 300.000 and above.

so then we started to go to Tawangmangu, Karanganyar. it's about 2 hours from Yogya.Tawangmangu lies on the slopes of Mt., Lawu. It is an recreational resort. it offers fresh weather; scenic views, swimming pools,and the waterfall, Grojogan Sewu. Ohya, in front of the gate to Grojogan Sewu, horses for rent are available to ride around Tawangmangu.

We have to go down stairs to reach the waterfall,1250 stairs from the gate to the exit gate. a bit tired, but it's great. to be honest, i didn't feel tired at all. :D

Grojogan sewu is a about 100M high waterfall and the water is fresh and a bit cold. it's beautiful scenic. oh ya, tame monkeys ready to welcome you at the gate of grojogan sewu. fyi, i don't like monkey because i'm scared!. well, i think, i am totally right to be scared of the monkeys, because a monkey took my aunt's drink when she was sitting for a rest. a monkey jumped to my aunt and then it took the drink then jumped again!. see??? see??? that's what i'm scared of. :P

We have to went home because already 4pm, remember? it needs to went home before dark :p . No, actually, i have to looked for the hotel in Solo. I just know the name and the street's name. It's not a big hotel, but it's very recommended for you who want to spend the vacation around the city. So you go out of the hotel in the morning and back at night then sleep. The hotel is clean, comfortable, good big room, good service, and only 15 minutes to airport. the name of the hotel is Hotel Indah Jaya. The service just like 4 stars hotel, but i think it's cheaper. I reserved a Family room only for IDR 500.000.

So, to be honest, i prefer to go for vacation like this . I mean, like having a new adventure, go to the place that i've never been before. For me, it's more interesting than only to go for shopping. The feeling is different. you'll be more feel free,happier and fresher.

Vacation day 2 (2 end) : Mount Merapi and The Beaches

after from Borobudur then we continued our trip to Mount Merapi. It isn't too far from Borobudur. The driver knew the short way to reach Mount Merapi. it was 12.10pm, we started to move from Borobudur.

On our way from Borobudur to Mount Merapi, we through Kali Putih. There was a jam for a while, because the bridge which connecting Magelang-Yogyakarta is broken caused by cold lava flood from Mount Merapi after its erupted in October 2010. One of its side still under repair, so all the cars have to queue to pass the bridge. After passed the bridge, i saw something that is interesting. many car stopped at that place,the people got out of the car. Obviously, there's some huge stones that brought by cold lava from Mount Merapi, and so many sands which a "product" from Mount Merapi as well. Fyi, That sand is super quality!. i took some photos at that place.

Only in a short time at Kali Putih, so we continue the trip to Mount Merapi.

The way to Mount Merapi is a bit complicated. I think, if you are not Yogya people, it will be a bit hard for you to reach Mount Merapi. So, thanks God, we got driver who originally comes from Yogya. it took 30 minutes from Kali Putih to Mount Merapi. When we entered the Mount Merapi area, there's written " Wisata Bencana Merapi",wait, whaat? Mount Merapi Disaster Tourism? ooh okay, the devastation caused by the eruption has became "tourist attraction", mmhh good .. i admit, that's a good idea :). At mount merapi, there's didn't much that i can do, just walked aroung and took some pics. It was 1.15pm, too bad i already can't see the mount merapi clearly, it was gloomy and the top of the mountain was covered by fog. here's some photos at Mount Merapi.

After Mount Merapi, next destination was Baron Beach. it was my first time to know that in Yogya, there's not only Parangtritis Beach, but also Baron, Krakal and the other beaches. The distance from Mount Merapi to Baron beach is so faaaaarrrrrrr. it took about 2 hours 15 minutes without traffic jam. Baron beach is in Desa Kemadang, about 23km at southern side of Wonosari. Baron Beach is the first beach that you'll meet before the other beaches in this area. the beaches that you can visit are Baron beach, Kukup Beach, Sepanjang Beach, Drini, Krakal and Sundak Beach.

Well, i arrived at Baron Beach at 3.40pm. My first impression about Baron Beach was Crowded with local people. only 2-3 foreigners. Maybe it just because most of foreigners haven't know yet about those beach. Yeah, might because it's far too from Yogya - City Center. But believe me, it's a good beach thou. Baron Beach is like Muara Angke in jakarta. You can eat seafood with affordable price and the taste of the food is better than the food in Muara Angke (sorry). But the seller serve the food in a loooong time. i was hungry, didn't you know? :p. i ate squid and fishes.

btw, in my opinion, Baron beach is a good place as if the cleanliness of this beach can be kept. i didn't say it was dirty, but i don't know, it's just a bit messy. at least it looks messy. there was many fisherman's boats, the sand was light brown, and a lot of people swam while it's not suggested to swim on the beach. Hehehhe

it's different with Krakal Beach, Krakal beach looked cleaner. we went to Krakal beach, after we grabbed the foods fast. we need about 10 minutes to reach Krakal Beach from Baron beach. Krakal Beach was a bit like Tanah Lot in Bali. After all, Baron and Krakal are beautiful beaches. Too bad, i arrived at Krakal beach almost at 5.15pm, as you know, here already like 6pm, dark!.

In my humble opinion, the local government should be more pay attention to make those beaches (Kukup Beach, Sepanjang Beach, Drini, Krakal and Sundak Beach) famous and look more interesting for the tourists (local and foreigners). The local government can work together with tourism department to make those beaches cleaner and more comfortable and make an event there and put the beaches in to the tourism attraction list and spread it on website, travel agencies,brochure,etc. Anything which can make those beach famous and look interesting for the tourists. So when people go to Yogya, they not only know about Parangtritis Beach but also Krakal Beach, Baron beach,and etc.

The day already dark, then we must went to the Hotel, oh yeah, we chose Inna Garuda Hotel in Yogya for stay. This Hotel is old building, 4 stars hotel, good service, and on in front of the hotel is Malioboro, the famous place for shopping in Yogya. I went to Malioboro at night, only checked things there, if there's a good or cute thing, i'll buy it for souvenir for my friends. it was a long day but awesomely Fun!. :)

Vacation day 2 (1): Borobudur Temple

on the previous post, i said i’ll write about my vacation. Well, actually my vacation was on June 1st (went to Solo) until June 3th, on June 4th i went back to Jakarta.

Delanggu ( June1st,2011 – 6.30pm)

Okay, i arrived in Solo at 5pm, compared to Jakarta, 5pm in Solo is just like 6pm in Jakarta and 6pm is just like 7pm. Yep, it’s dark faster than Jakarta and Solo is not crowded like Jakarta though.

I arrived, then went to my aunt-in-law ‘s home. She lives in Solo in Delanggu area. Delanggu is about 45 minutes by cab from Solo Balapan (Train Station in Solo-city centre). Delanggu is a village in Klaten, no malls, no entertainment. There are only 2 Banks, Drugstore, and some small restaurants. The house. The house is an old big house, grey tiles, white walls, a very light yelow doors, surrounding with big trees, and thanks God it’s full of lights, so not too creepy then. Hehehhe. ooh Delanggu is very calm, anyway. My aunty here is about 65 years old and lives alone. Her parents died, so she lives at her parents home until now.

Okay back to me, after arrived at home, my sist, my two aunty and i went to Padang restaurant for dinner. Yes, Padang restaurant, because it was all i can see which near to the house, and we were hungry!. So, we ate Padang food. The funny thing when you ate Padang Food here, the “sambal” is not “hot” at all! Yes, i can see lots of big chillies on the “sambal” but for me who like to eat “sambal”, it taste not too hot, more like sweet.

So, after dinner we went back to home, took shower and then slept because tomorrow morning, we will go to Yogya. Delanggu to Yogya is about 1 hour 15 minutes. Btw, it was a bit hard to sleep at 9pm, because i usually sleep at 11 or 12am.

In the morning, woke up at 5am, took shower and had breakfast. Well, because of i was in Solo, so the breakfast was special for me, it was Nasi Liwet, a traditional food from Solo. It is rice that served with chicken curry, an egg, and vegetable. The rice cooked with santan, so the taste is tasty. It was a good start to start that day.

At 7.15am, the cab already came, and ready to took us to Yogya at my other aunty again. Hahhaa yes, i have so many aunty, so do not confuse. My aunty here who lives in Yogya, i came to her house and wait for the car which i booked the day before. The car was a Baleno, i have to pay IDR 450.000/day include driver and gas. The driver is my sister in law’s friend,named Phito. My sister in law is from Yogya, she lived in Yogya but now lives in Jakarta. Pitho lives in Yogya and he knows all the things about Yogya,especially the way to reach tourist attractions in Yogya. He has travel transportation company,anyway.

Our plans for the 2nd day on vacation was Borobudur temple, Mount Merapi, and Baron and Krakal beach.

Borobudur Temple

It was about 9.30am, our first destination was Borobudur temple. It took an hour from Sriti (yogya-my aunt home) to Borobudur (in magelang). Well, actually i’ve ever came here when i was 17 with my high school friends, but my sister haven’t been there, so yeah we went there for my sister!. Sounds i don’t too like Borobudur temple yes?, well that’s quite right. I just don’t like about the heat on the top of Borobudur. Really it beats me!. Yeah, even it wasn’t a problem for me cause i used sun screen.

Well, actually there’s a new rule at Borobudur Temple ( at least i just know it), you must wore sarong before you come in to the temple. It wasn’t like it (6 years ago), when i went with my high school friends 6 years ago, i didn’t have to wear sarong. But now, i must wear it. It reminds me of Uluwatu,Bali. When i went to Uluwatu, Bali. I had to wear sarong because i wore short, but if you wear trouser you don’t need to wear sarong, only the tie.

Oh ya, there was a funny story at Borobudur. It’s about my sister. She was very excited to “climb” Borobudur temple. She followed me to "climb". The sight from the top of Borobudur temple was so fantastic, i love it so much!. We took some pictures there and saw around the temple. So, when we already felt satisfied at the Borobudur temple, we intend to go back to the car and continue the trip. To go back to parking lot, means we have to go down stairs which the ladders are high. My sister was so afraid to went down because she's afraid of heights. she almost did not want to go down because of her fear. However, I am forced her to went down by herself, because at that time, there were so many people who went down stairs as well (it was impossible to go against the flow *hahahha good reason isn't it? :p *). My sister's face was so pale caused by her fear of heights. I said to her "hold the handle, there's a handle on your left side. You'll be okay!." I actually thought to go back upstairs to help her if within 2 minutes she has not gone down yet. But, finally she went down by holding the handle. Fiiuuhh ... Yeay! Good for you, sist!.

Vacation : First time to go by Train (yes, poor me and i'm sorry :D)

“Teengteng,teng teng,teng teng”, that alarm woke me up! I checked, it was 4.30am. oh well, yeah, i have to woke up early on that day, because... i was going to Solo for vacation of course. Yeay! Then i woke up exicitedly, took shower, made a hot chocolate, and had a breakfast then went to Gambir Train Station. Wait, what??! Train Station?! Yes! Train station!. To be honest, it was my first time to go by Train. Usually i prefer to take a plane, but this time i have to take a train. It was just because i didn’t get any ticket with normal price for flight to Solo or Yogya anymore, it sold out! Because it was a peak season, very long weekend. Well, i think it’s better to spend your money in Yogya or Solo for vacation than only to buy a flight ticket,right?. The ticket for the train to solo was only IDR 225.000, and the ticket for a plane was about IDR 700.000 and above. So i chose, went by train to Solo and back to Jakarta from Solo by plane.

I’ve arrived at Gambir Station at 7.30am, 30 minutes earlier before departure. I wasn’t have any idea about the train. How its interior, hows the seat, what i can do on the train, etc. Well, Argo Dwipangga finally came at 8.10am, 10 minutes late from the schedule. I came in to the train. The first thing that across my mind was “wow” it’s similar to plane. The cabin (day-coach), the television, the air conditioner, the seat, oh wait, the seat on the train is bigger than on the plane. WOW! That’s great!. So i went to the seat number 13A, and put my luggages on the cabin above me. 10 minutes later, the train started to move. Okay,it needed 8 hours to be can arrived in Yogya, and 9 hours in Solo. I think it was because the train came late and it moved slowly,so should can be faster.

On the train, the television was on, the most programs that aired were music program (indonesian music and international), an action movie, and variety show (comedy/prank). Well, it was pretty good, but 9 hours on the train, only seated, watched tv and ate, i think it’s a bit boring. So thanks God, for technology, there’s twitter,blackberry,ipod/mp3 and wait, a book! Yes, so it wasn’t boring anymore, just maybe you feel tired on your back and your b**t :p.

However, go by train is not so that horrible because it’s quite comfortable, you can order hot tea or coffee or other some food, watch tv, and go to restroom. Yeah, i told you, it’s like plane, the different only the toilet and the duration of the travel. Ooh yes, the restroom, hhmmm i don’t know, i was just shock when i saw the restroom, it’s good but it’s just out of my mind, i mean i DO NOT like the smell!. So, do not too much drink water on the train. lol.

alright, on the next posts, i'll write about my vacation around Yogya and Solo with my aunt and sist. So, keep update! thank you :)

(just a bit of my thoughts) kemanakah lagu yang ceria dan sarat akan pesan itu?

i feel blessed. yes, especially when i was a kid. why? because at that time, there was so many kid's song in Indonesia. examples; "kamu makannya apaa? tempe!, saya juru masaknya. oke!" itu adalah salah satu lagu yang saya ingat hingga saat ini. Ya, itu lagu yang dibawakan oleh eno lerian yang berjudul "Dubidubidam." Selain itu ada Geofani, Saskia, Agnes, Tasya, Trio Kwek-Kwek,dll. itulah salah satu hal yang membuat saya bersyukur,ketika saya masih kecil, saya masih bisa menikmati lagu anak-anak yang ceria, berisi pesan di dalamnya.

Sekarang, kita lihat hari ini. Saat ini, saya tidak tahu atau mengenal atau pun mendengar lagu anak-anak yang baru. Hampir lagu yang saya dengar adalah lagu orang dewasa yang berisi percintaan, patah hati, dll. Menurut saya, anak-anak yang masih ceria,polos dan bahkan belum mengenal cinta itu apa, masih terlalu dini untuk bersedih, mengumpat atau cinta-cintaan, bahkan untuk jatuh cinta pun mereka belum tahu seperti apa. Biarlah mereka tumbuh dengan lagu yang riang gembira, yang memberikan mereka semangat, yang memberikan pesan atau cerita yang bermanfaat.

oke, mungkin ada yang berpendapat, buat apa membuat lagu anak-anak, toh anak-anak jaman sekarang, hafal dan menyukai lagu-lagu orang dewasa. Kalau menurut pendapat saya, hal itu karena tidak adanya pilihan untuk mereka, untuk bisa menikmati dan mendengarkan lagu anak-anak. Dulu, 18 tahun yang lalu, saya masih bisa menikmati acara Tralala-Trilili, Cilukba, Kring-Kring Olala, dll. Acara-acara tersebut menampilkan lagu anak-anak indonesia dan berisikan pengetahuan yang sesuai dengan umur saya saat itu.

Sekarang? tidak ada (khusus program lagu anak-anak), ya wong lagu anak-anaknya ga ada, apa yang mau ditampilkan?. Bahkan di acara ajang mencari bakat yang khusus anak-anak pun, kebanyakan dari mereka menyanyikan lagu-lagu orang dewasa. Sungguh miris saya melihatnya. Anak masih kecil kok ya lagunya, lagu orang dewasa. Mereka seharusnya bernyanyi sesuai dengan isi kehidupan mereka saat itu.

Sebenarnya, saya terpikirkan akan hal ini karena saya baru melihat sebuah video di Youtube tentang acara anak-anak yaitu Sesamestreet. Di dalam acara itu, ada seorang bintang tamu terkenal, seorang penyanyi yaitu Jazon Mraz. Jason Mraz menyanyikan sebuah lagu berjudul "Outdoors" yang aransemen musiknya adalah dari lagu miliknya sendiri yaitu "I'm Yours", hanya saja, judul dan hampir seluruh liriknya diubah, disesuaikan dengan anak-anak dan tema kali itu.

Saya berpikir, kenapa orang luar sana, rajin sekali re-make lirik lagu hanya untuk tampil 3 menit? kok sebegitu pedulinya? Bukankah itu berarti mereka menghargai dan menghormati penontonnya yang masih kanak-kanak? Peduli dengan isi tontonan untuk anak-anak kecil. tapi kenapa kok di Indonesia tidak seperti itu?

Kemanakah musisi dan pencipta lagu indonesia saat ini? tidak adakah yang mau untuk membuat lirik lagu dan aransemen musik yang sesuai dengan usia anak-anak 6-12 tahun? saya yakin mereka mampu untuk membuat itu. lalu kemanakah acara musik khusus anak-anak (kecuali ajang mencari bakat) saat ini? yang memberikan informasi dan menayangkan lagu anak-anak? atau mungkin, Pak Presiden harus sebagai starter untuk membuat lagu anak-anak? :) atau manakah media elektronik yang menampilkan acara musik untuk anak-anak? ingatlah, mereka masih anak-anak, butuh sekali hiburan yang memberikan semangat. Mereka belum mengerti patah hati, cinta, ataupun cerita yang ditayangkan di sinetron.

untuk itulah, saya prihatin turut prihatin dengan anak-anak kecil jaman sekarang. and i feel blessed because when i was a kid, saya bisa menikmati acara, lagu, dan film anak-anak. :)
